Pyro-Chem Corporation is a leading manufacturer of premixed fire retardant mine sealants, used in
the underground coal mining industry. The company was originally Incorporated in Colorado in 1978.
Pyro-Chem relocated to South Point, Ohio in 1992 to be centrally located to the major U.S. underground
coalfields, thereby enabling the company to significantly increase production and sales. Pyro-Chem
moved to a new 18,500 square foot building, which it currently occupies, in 1994.

Wright-Mix Material, a company of Wright Industries, purchased Pyro-Chem in August of 2022.
Pyro-Chem U.S.A currently manufacturers three (3) premixed mine sealants and sell sealant
applicators. Pyro-Chem TC, 'the original premixed spray sealant, 'is normally applied using a hydraulically
powered applicator. Pro Seal TNT and LX (formerly JTS) are pastes, which must be applied by hand.
Through the years, Pyro-Chem has earned an excellent reputation for the consistent quality of the
products which it sells, Pail-for-pail. Pyro-Chem manufacturers the highest quality premixed mine
sealants on the market and has proven itself to be the leading innovator in the sealant industry, and
is unmatched in service and response time.

Latex Mine Sealant

Pro Seal LX – formerly JTS –  is a premixed latex-based mine sealant that has
multiple underground applications. It can be used to seal and maintain newly
constructed stoppings and seals. It is water resistant after curing, easy to apply
and spread, flexible, and is capable of filling cracks and gaps without slumping.

TC Spray

The original premixed sprayable mine sealant. Pyro-Chem TC comes ready to
use straight from the pail. It has a variety of applications in the industry
providing ventilation control, fire-proofing, and strength enhancement to meet
MSHA standards.

TNT Trowel Pro Seal

Pro Seal TNT is a cost-effective, premixed silicate-based fire retardant mine
sealant designed to be used on newly constructed stoppings and overcasts, for
ventilation control maintenance, and as fire-retardant material used to coat all
accessible surfaces of wood used in the construction of ventilation controls.
